New 50.6 Megapixel Full-Frame CMOS Sensor
Canceling low-pass filter effects
The 50.6MP sensor has the full advantage of canceling the low-pass filter effect, providing images of greater detail and even higher resolution than the 5DS.
Fine detail mode in picture style
Taking advantage of the high-resolution capturing power of its sensor, the EOS 5DS R camera has a new picture style called Fine Detail Mode. Fine detail emphasized fine edges and patterns or textures by reducing the camera's sharpness sub-settings, beauty and threshold to their minimum as well as contrast settings. Prioritizing minute detail in the image allows for better elevation, more detailed textures and fine edges for smoother, more polished photos.
Easy scene detection system with RGB + IR metering sensor
With the new tracking algorithm to recognize faces and colors, the system serves as the foundation of the camera's AF system.
61-point high density reticular air force
The Air Force system is sensitive to changes in structure, making adjustments to help ensure a consistent, fast Air Force. That AF precision remains. The EOS 5DS R realizes the level of focus accuracy with its 50.6MP sensor, with a focus mode dedicated to the details of the shooting environment.
The camera shake caused by the SLR's mirror effect can leave blurred details in the recorded image. This effect is increased when working with the high-resolution sensors found in EOS 5DS R cameras. To counter the effects of traditional, spring-driven SLR mirrors, the EOS 5DS R has a newly developed mirror vibration control system. The camera mirrors are not controlled by springs, but are driven by a small motor and cam. This system suppresses the specific effect of the camera mirror, reducing the effect and reducing its effect on the image. The new time release lag setting, which is easily accessible on the menu system, provides protection from camera shake by intentionally setting the shutter release time to a long time, so the camera does not initiate exposure until the camera mirrors are separated.
Anti flickr feature
With Canon's anti-flicker function, the camera is capable of producing accurate results under cycling lighting conditions. Under flickering lights, such as fluorescent lights, a high shutter speed may result in irregular exposure.
1.3x and 1.6x crop shooting
For still photography, the EOS 5DS R has the flexibility of cropping feature that extends the shooting effects to 1.3x and 1.6x. With a 50.6MP capture, cropped shots are possible with resolution for spares. Images recorded in 1.3x (APS-H) are approximately 30.5MP (6768 x 4512) large / fine JPEG, while images recorded in 1.6x (APS-C) are approximately 19.6MP
